Have you noticed...

...That Republicans have always derided "Big Government," but love it now that they are in charge? They want to change the Senate rules to cut off debate so they can more easily get their policies [and Bush's judicial nominees] through.

Let me get this straight...they have a majority of seats, yet feel the need to prevent debate on legislation that they theoretically should be able to push through? Could that mean their polices are, oh I don't know, misguided? Or that Bush's choices for federal judges are, oh, too conservative, maybe? Even John McCain has spoken out against this blatant grab for [more] power.

If they do succeed at this, and God help us if they do, then what happens when the Democrats are back in power? Then do they go complain that the rules need to be changed back?
