The Schiavo Case

I originally felt no desire whatsoever to write about this case. It was a family matter in Florida. I am not a member of that family, and I do not live in Florida. I cannot believe the circus it has turned into.

The Schiavo family situation has been hijacked by politicians, ones who believe in the sacred right to life as well as the death penalty. This poor family has been pulled into the national spotlight as a cause celebre on both sides.

Her husband believes she should be allowed to die. Her parents want her to live. I agree with the husband, and I agree with the parents. That’s part of the problem with being a liberal: I actually listen to both sides of a story. And the thing is, I am not part of the Schiavo family. I am not getting involved. Period. I only wish everyone else would release their grip on this family.

Leave it to a fascist moron like Tom DeLay to continue to invoke God. Gee, maybe a ploy to divert attention from his ethics violations? Read about it here:
